Program Overview:

Citibank is looking for a full-time Analyst to join its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in Australia. The ECM team works in partnership with the Advisory and coverage teams to advise public and private companies, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors to originate, structure, execute, and syndicate equity financings such as initial public offerings, follow-on capital raisings, block trades, convertibles, and other equity-linked financings. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by facilitating equity capital formation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research and trading analysis.

  • Preparation of presentation and other materials for clients.

  • Liaise with multiple internal and external parties to manage and execute several projects simultaneously and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.

  • Help the team deliver equity and equity-linked solutions to clients leveraging full spectrum of the bank's capabilities.

  • You are in your final year of university or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent within the last 2 years; in any discipline with top academic record from a leading university

  • You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen

  • You have strong accounting, corporate finance, analytical, and business communications skills (both written and verbal)

  • You have exceptional teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders in other lines of business

  • You are self-directed, highly motivated, resilient, and able to work independently with attention to detail and personal integrity

  • You have well-rounded experience and extra-curricular interests outside of your university studies

  • You are proficient with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word

  • You have a keen interest in markets and investing, and knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape
