The University Network for Investing and Trading (UNIT) is the largest investing and trading society in Australia, with over 11,000 student members nationally. In recent years, we have branched out from just investing and trading and now cover all areas of finance.

We strive to provide our community of students and members with a practical financial toolkit. This is through educational seminars, professional opportunities with our sponsors, and national competitions across all participating universities. Whether you are only a novice or already have a detailed understanding of finance and trading, we believe that with UNIT, you can continue to grow your knowledge whilst forming valuable professional connections in the industry.

Membership is free for most of our participating universities, and students from any academic background are welcome to join. With membership, you will receive fortnightly newsletters and regular updates about our events when you like us on Facebook.

Follow us on LinkedIn for more updates.

Our Sponsors

UNIT is proud to be supported by leading firms across investment banking, private equity, asset management, trading, financial services, and management consulting. With sponsors including Citi, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and Bain & Company, we provide our members with exclusive access to industry insights, networking opportunities, and pathways to careers in top-tier financial institutions.

Upcoming Events

Join us at UNSW O-Week for the chance to learn more about our society and meet some of our amazing directors who would be more than happy to help guide you through what to expect during your first year, as well as how you can make the most out of your life at university.
